From an Idea to a Monumental Work

Every bridge has its own unique story and challenges. We implement our projects with meticulous engineering discipline and a perfectionist approach, from start to finish:

  1. Soil and Hydraulic Studies: The Secret of Solid Foundations The behavior of the soil on which the bridge’s piers will rest and the water it will pass through are the most critical data for a project. We analyze the ground’s bearing capacity and potential earthquake risks through geophysical and seismic surveys, while hydraulic and hydrological modeling analyzes the potential for floods, currents, and erosion by water. These data ensure that our bridge’s foundations will stand for thousands of years.
  2. Design and Engineering: Harmonizing Aesthetics and Durability: Every geography demands its own unique bridge. From arch bridges and suspension bridges to cable-stayed bridges and viaducts, we determine the most suitable, most economical, and most aesthetic design for the project’s needs. Using state-of-the-art 3D modeling and simulation software, we repeatedly test the bridge’s resistance to wind loads, traffic vibrations, and seismic activity, resulting in a flawless design.
  3. Construction of Foundations and Piers: Overcoming Challenges: Building bridge piers, especially in water or difficult terrain, requires expertise. Using deep pile foundations (bored piles), caissons, or cast-in-place concrete technologies, we anchor our bridge piers firmly to the bedrock, even under the most challenging project conditions.
  4. Superstructure and Deck Assembly: A Precise Joint The assembly of the bridge deck, the visible face of the bridge and the traffic carrier, is an operation requiring millimeter-level precision. Whether placing massive steel segments with cranes or using cast-in-place techniques (Push-Drive, Balanced Cantilever, etc.), each component is assembled in full compliance with engineering calculations. In suspension or cable-stayed bridges, the tensioning of steel cables is one of the most exciting and demanding aspects of a project.

Final Processes and Load Tests: Confirmation of Excellence: After waterproofing, protective coatings, and asphalt paving are completed on the deck, final fabrications such as expansion joints and guardrails are completed. The most crucial moment of the project is the load tests, where the bridge is loaded with dozens of trucks to verify its performance as envisioned in the design. These tests are the ultimate confirmation of the safety and quality of the work we undertake.
